KCR's Absence from the Republic Day event makes Governor serious:- It is a protocol for the Chief Minister to participate in the Republic Day celebrations that will be held in Raj Bhavan of the respective states. In a shocking incident, Telangana Chief Minister KCR and his cabinet gave a skip for the Republic Day celebrations that are held in Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad. The Chief Minister and the Cabinet attends the celebrations every year. The Governor hoists the national flag but the event got completed without the attendance of KCR. Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan is quite angry for KCR's absence. KCR has been attending the Republic Day event in Raj Bhavan from 2015 after the formation of Telangana.

There are speculations about the gap between Tamilisai Soundararajan and KCR. This event made it open for the entire world about the rift between the duo. Tamilisai Soundararajan feels that KCR treats her as a leader from BJP and not as the Collector of the state. The state's Chief Secretary, DGP and officials attended the Republic Day celebrations in Raj Bhavan. KCR attended the celebrations in Pragathi Bhavan and Parade Grounds yesterday. There are talks that Tamilisai Soundararajan will take the issue to the President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Telangana BJP leader Etela Rajendar slammed KCR for the move. Etela said that KCR intentionally skipped the Republic Day celebrations in Raj Bhavan.
