YS Jagan Meets Narendra Modi With Eight Demands

YS Jagan Meets Narendra Modi With Eight Demands:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy called up Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi last evening in New Delhi and discussed about several key issues in the state. The meeting took place about eight demands that YS Jagan placed before the Prime Minister. He wanted the Centre to approve the revised cost estimates of Rs 55,657 crores which also includes the pending payments of Polavaram project worth Rs 2100 crores and drinking water component of Rs 4000 crores. YS Jagan brought to the notice of the Prime Minister about the revenue deficit for the financial year of 2014-15 which was Rs 22,948.76 crores and the released amount was Rs 4117.89 crores.

YS Jagan requested Narendra Modi to get the pending amount released at the earliest to support the state during this crisis. Andhra Pradesh Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) is yet to receive Rs 6284 crores from the Telangana State Distribution Utilities and Telangana DISCOMs. He wanted the Prime Minister to direct the authorities and release the funds at the earliest so that the state can discharge all the pending dues. YS Jagan also discussed about the poor coverage for the beneficiaries under NFSA (National Food Security) Act and he wanted the Prime Minister to direct the officials to look into the matter. The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India said that Rs 17,923.24 crores have to be adjusted against the NBC.

YS Jagan also discussed about the Vizag International Airport in Bhogapuram, Integrated Steel Plant in YSR Kadapa District and other issues related to the state.
