13 Lakh Families to Benefit through Dalit Bandhu in Telangana:- The Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao announced Dalit Bandhu scheme through which Rs 10 lakhs will be deposited to the bank accounts of the Dalits in the state. This will benefit 13 lakh dalit families, in the state and the scheme will be implemented in a phased manner in the state. KCR will launch the scheme on August 16th from Huzurabad and the necessary arrangements are made currently. Out of the 16-17 lakh Dalit families in the state, close to 13 lakh Dalits would be benefited told KCR and Rs 1 lakh crore is allocated for the scheme by the government of Telangana. KCR said that this scheme would help for the social and economic empowerment of the dalits.

The government of Telangana is currently finalizing 100 beneficiaries from each Assembly constituency and they would be a part of the first phase of the implementation of Dalit Bandhu. KCR made these comments during his recent visit in the Assembly constituency of Nagarjunasagar. This is the first time KCR paid his visit after TRS emerged as a winner in the bypolls that were conducted in May this year. A meeting was organized and KCR thanked the people of the constituency. KCR announced Rs 150 crores for the constituency and he announced Rs 15 crores for the development of Nandikonda and Halia municipalities. While the opposition parties targeted KCR for Dalit Bandhu scheme, KCR said that he would implement it at any cost.
