TDP alleges Rs 15,000 Cr Mining Scam in Vizag:- Telugu Desam Party (TDP), the major opposition party of Andhra Pradesh alleged about a Rs 15,000 crores bauxite mining scam in the agency region of Visakhapatnam which led to the disruption of resources in the forest region. Former minister and TDP leader Nakka Anand Babu said that the ruling YSRCP is behind the scam. The ruling party announced mining in Sarugudu region of the Visakhapatnam region. He demanded a CBI probe in the incident to dig out the real facts. He wanted all the bigwigs behind the scam to be exposed to the world immediately.
Anand Babu said that the mining was happening in tribal lands and all the environmental protection laws are ignored. He also said that the funds of NREGS are missed to construct the roads for the mining. A highway of 14 km is laid through Raghavapatnam village in East Godavari district through Jaladam, Sarlanka, Siripuram and Sarugudu. The leaders of the ruling party have threatened the locals who raised their voices against mining. No Gram Sabhas are held in the region till now alleged Anand Babu. TDP demanded the leaders of the ruling YSRCP to withdraw their plans of illegal mining.
