KCR visits Gandhi Hospital: Interacts with Patients:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) got tested positive for coronavirus and he recovered completely recently. KCR is quite active in Pragathi Bhavan and he has taken up the Health Ministry portfolio from Etala Rajendar after he was sacked due to a land grabbing case. KCR for the first time paid his visit to the Gandhi Hospital which is designated to treat the coronavirus patients across Telangana. KCR visited the wards of Emergency, ICU and Outpatient and he interacted with the doctors and the patients. KCR during his interaction spoke with the patients and asked about their well being. Telangana Minister T Harish Rao along with the officials were present during KCR's visit.

KCR along with his son KTR and the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar are handling all the medical emergencies in the state. The number of new cases for coronavirus came to a good control in the recent week. With Telangana in recovery mode, KCR decided to extend the lockdown in the state till the end of this month. The lockdown was imposed on May 12th and relaxations are allowed between 6 AM and 10 AM on a regular basis. Telangana government is also restricting movement from the neighboring states of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka where the spread of coronavirus is huge. 3982 new cases for coronavirus are reported in Telangana yesterday along with 27 deaths and the total samples tested for coronavirus are 71,616. There are 48,110 active cases for coronavirus in Telangana currently.
