Telangana government extends night curfew till May 8th:- The government of Telangana is quite focused on working on how to curb the new cases for coronavirus in the state. In the wake of rising cases, the government announced night curfew for two weeks in the state. With the date coming to an end and the situations not under control, the government of Telangana extended the night curfew for one more week, till May 8th. The night curfew will be implemented from 9 PM till 5 AM on a regular basis till May 8th. The Telangana division bench of Telangana High Court headed by Chief Justice Hima Kohli and B Vijaysen Reddy asked the government to explain about the measures taken to curb coronavirus in the state.

The Telangana government was asked to explain about the steps by tomorrow morning. After the Centre asked the states to impose restrictions, the High Court asked the state government to reveal about the restrictions that are imposed to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Telangana reported 7646 new cases of coronavirus today and the total tally of the virus reached 4.35 lakhs and the death toll reached 2261 with 53 new deaths in the state. The GHMC has been reporting massive number of cases and 1441 new cases are reported in the limits in the last one day. Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri too have been reporting high number of cases. There are 77,727 active cases for coronavirus in Telangana currently.
