LPG Cylinder price hiked for the fourth time in a month:- The prices of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) are hiked for the fourth time in this month and the price per cylinder is increased by Rs 25 and the new prices are implemented from today. The price of LPG cylinder in the country would cost Rs 819 in New Delhi as per the Indian Oil Corporation. The prices are reviewed on a monthly basis and the new changes will be applicable from the first day of the new month. The prices vary from state to state due to the local taxes. LPG prices are hiked three times in February. The prices of petrol and diesel too are hiked several times and they reached all time high in the recent times.
The Indian government subsidies 12 cylinders (14.2 kg) per household in a year. The subsidy too varies on monthly basis and it is calculated through the factors kike crude oil as foreign exchange rates. The new price of LPG cylinder in Kolkata is Rs 845 and in Mumbai it is Rs 819. The price of LPG cylinder in Chennai is Rs 835 and in Hyderabad it is Rs 871.50. There was a hike of Rs 125 per cylinder in the last one month which is huge. The prices are hiked on February 4th, 14th, 25th and again today. Indian Oil Corporation, BPCL and HPCL decided to hike the prices in December. The prices were untouched in January and they are hiked four times in February.
