Petroleum Ministry Explains about the Soaring Prices of Petrol and Diesel:- The prices of petrol and diesel witnessed a considerable rise in the country from the past few months. When the country is shattered because of the coronavirus pandemic, the people are in stress with the hike in the prices of petrol and diesel which reached all-time high in the history. Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan termed it saying that the production of fuel is now less and the manufacturing countries are gaining more profits because of this because of which the prices reached all-time high.

"The international market has reduced the production of fuel and the countries that are manufacturing the fuel are producing less fuel because of which the prices are increased. This is making countries like India suffer" told Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He also said that they have continuously urged the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and OPEC plus countries to prevent such acts. Dharmendra Pradhan said that there would be change in the prices very soon. The prices of petrol and diesel increased from the past ten days and the price of petrol per litre touched Rs 100 for the first time in some of the parts of the country.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently staged a meeting to discuss about the price hike on the petrol and diesel after the opposition parties took a continuous dig on the Centre. Dharmendra Pradhan said that the Indian government is putting all the efforts and things would come to a control very soon.
