AP ignored in Union Budget 2020-21 Allocations:- Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the budget for the country for 2020-21 today. Andhra Pradesh has been completely ignored in the allocations and the leading YSRCP announced their disappointment over the budget. Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, the Finance Minister of Andhra Pradesh said that the Centre offered nothing for Andhra Pradesh. He said that the Andhra Pradesh is badly disappointed as there was nothing mentioned about the long pending demands for the state. "The commitments made during the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014 are never fulfilled and they are never addressed," said Rajendranath Reddy.

Rajendranath Reddy raised his doubts over the GDP growth rate that was projected by the Finance Minister of the Centre. He said that several claims were made in the previous budget but none of them were fulfilled. "The state's share in the central taxes are cut by Rs 2500 crores in the year 2018-19 which happened to be a huge setback. Andhra Pradesh state is in revenue deficit but the Centre kept no efforts to issue about the revenue deficit and help the state in this crisis. There was never a package announced for seven backward districts of Andhra Pradesh and the Centre ignored all the industrial incentives. The reimbursement funds for the Polavaram project are delayed" told Buggana Rajendranath Reddy after the Union budget for the country was announced.
