Ten Babies Died In Hospital Fire in Bhandara:- In Maharashtra, Bhandara District General Hospital around 2 am today, a fire broke out in the SNCU of the Hospital and Ten newborn babies died. According to the reports, the on duty nurses noticed the smoke coming from the neonatal care unit and they raised the alarm.

The Bhandara District General Hospital is about 900 kms from the mumbai. At the time of incident, they were Seventeen babies admitted in the SNCU (Special Newborn Care Unit) of the General Hospital. Seven babies were rescued which were in the inborn ward of the unit. And the remaining who are in the outbound ward couldn't rushed out in time.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his Condolences on the babies death and tweeted as, "Heart-wrenching tragedy in Bhandara, Maharashtra, where we have lost precious young lives. My thoughts are with all the bereaved families. I hope the injured recover as early as possible".

Dr Khandate said,"Our staff extinguished the fire as soon as they could. The smoke led to the babies suffocating." The cause of the fire broke out is yet to be confirm, believing that a short circuit as been took place. Patients who are admitted to other wards were safely shifted.

The state government has announced a 5 lakh compensation. Health Minister Rajesh Tope said, "Whoever is at fault will be punished. We will take all the precautions needed to prevent such incidents in future".
