Key Routes To Delhi Shut After Farmers Protest:- The Centre initiated talks with the farmer unions yesterday thousands of farmers marched towards the borders of the national capital New Delhi. Several unexpected incidents took place after which the Centre allowed talks with the unions. The farmers are quite hesitant against the introduced new Farm Laws and the talks failed. The protests reached the seventh day and they decided to protest at the borders of Delhi. The key Delhi and Noida route is now shut which happens to be the major connect for National Capital Region and the Uttar Pradesh. The Noida cops advised the commuters to avoid the Chilla route and take the route of DND or Kalind Kunj.

The border connects to the districts of the Uttar Pradesh. The farmers from Haryana and Punjab staged a massive protest at the border. Heavy security was imposed in the region. The next round of talks are expected to take place tomorrow. The Centre wanted a committee to be formed that will look into the demands of the farmers but they straightaway rejected the proposal. The unions asked the Centre to identify some of the issues in the new farm laws and initiate discussions today. The meeting that took place yesterday lasted for three and a half hours in Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was present along with the officials.
