Narendra Modi Reviews Coronavirus Vaccine Status In Hyderabad

Narendra Modi Reviews Coronavirus Vaccine Status In Hyderabad:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his three-city visit today to review about the status of the ongoing trials of coronavirus vaccine in the country. He flew to Ahmedabad this morning and paid his visit to Zydus Biotech Park to review the vaccine development work in the facility. He then moved to the Serum Institute of India (SII) in Pune to have a look at the developments of the vaccine. Narendra Modi then flew to Hyderabad and he spent time at the Bharat Biotech. Modi congratulated the scientists for their efforts and Modi was briefed about the vaccine and about the ongoing trials.

"At the Bharat Biotech facility in Hyderabad, was briefed about their indigenous COVID-19 vaccine. Congratulated the scientists for their progress in the trials so far. Their team is closely working with ICMR to facilitate speedy progress" posted Modi on his twitter handle. He landed at the Hakimpet Air Force station in the afternoon and was received by Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Director General of Police along with the other officials. He went to Bharat Biotech facility in Genome Valley which is located about 20 km from the Air Force base.

Bharat Biotech is developing Covaxin in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Institute of Virology. The trials are currently in the final stages. Modi interacted with the scientists and received all the updates.
