New Delhi's Air Quality Enters 'Very Poor Category':- The national capital New Delhi continues to be covered with a blanket of smog yesterday and the air quality index is now rated in 'Very Poor Category'. The government of Delhi already banned the usage of firecrackers for Diwali this year considering the low visibility levels and the poor air quality. The Air Quality index is at 402 in Anand Vihar and 469 at ITO and it is 414 at Najafgarh border which is in the severe category. The Air Quality index is said to be 364 in Mandir Marg and 397 in Ashok Vihar which is in 'Very Poor Category'. The reports are revealed by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

The air quality at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi is said to be very poor. Several locals and people found it problematic for their lungs and they could clearly find the difference in this coronavirus pandemic time. Some of them are facing breathing issues and the elder people who have breathing issues are advised not to step out from their homes during this winter season. The visibility in Delhi too reduced due the presence of smog in the air.

The government of Delhi asked the people who are suffering with asthma and other respiratory ailments to work from home and stay away from public exposure for the season.
