TRS gets a shock: BJP leading in Dubbaka Bypolls:- All the political parties of Telangana took the Dubbaka bypolls prestigiously and the election took place on November 3rd. The counting of the Assembly bypoll commenced today in Indore Engineering College, Siddipet at 8 AM. Leaving TRS in a deep shock, BJP is leading the race. The postal ballots are counted initially and the EVM counting started at 8:30 AM. Out of the total 1,64,192 votes polled, the counting is completed for 52,055 votes. By the completion of seven rounds, BJP is leading with 2485 votes. BJP got 22,762 votes and TRS is in second place with 20,277 votes.
The Congress candidate gained 4003 votes. BJP leader M Raghunandan Rao is leading the race against TRS candidate Solipeta Sujatha, the wife of Ramalinga Reddy, the sitting MLA who passed away recently. TRS took things prestigiously and campaigned in the constituency. Telangana Minister Harish Rao fielded himself in the constituency throughout the election campaign. Several unexpected incidents took place and several BJP leaders have been house arrested before the polls. A total number of 23 candidates contested in the polls but the major fight is between TRS and BJP.
