Hyderabad Airport Extends e-boarding Facility for International Flights:- Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) happens to be the first Indian airport to allow end-to-end paperless e-boarding facilities to domestic passengers in the country. The e-boarding facility is now extended for the international flight passengers and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport happens to be the first Indian airport to offer an e-boarding facility for international passengers. The service is now available for IndiGo Airlines and it would be soon extended to all the other services. A successful and rigorous pilot program for the e-boarding facility took place in Rajiv Gandhi International Airport after which it started rolling officially.
IndiGo Airlines happens to be the first carrier to carry this facility. Sharjah bound passengers e-boarded themselves on 6E 1405 on October 2nd. The other services are slowly initiated and the e-boarding program is now implemented to several international flights. Other international carriers that are operating from Hyderabad are in plans to implement the same. India is expected to get an e-boarding facility in other Indian airports rolled out very soon. Pradeep Panicker, CEO, GHIAL said that implemented the tech-enabled solutions continuously is their key focus area. The e-boarding process for domestic flyers started five years ago and the process started for international passengers recently.
