Eight MPs Suspended from Parliament: They Refuse to Leave the Premises:- After creating ruckus in the Parliament house, eight MPs from the Rajya Sabha have been suspended by the Rajya Sabha Chairman. However, they refused to leave the premises and they staged a protest outside the house. TMC’s Derek O’Brien and Dola Sen, Sanjay Singh of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Congress leaders Rajeev Satav, Ripun Bora and Syed Nasir Hussain and KK Ragesh and Elamaram Kareem of the CPI(M) are the MPs who are suspended from Rajya Sabha. They have been spotted holding placards and pamphlets which said that they would fight for the farmers.

Several MPs from the opposition parties too staged protests at the Gandhi statue in the premises of the Parliament after the eight MPs have been suspended. Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said they will protest until the status quo ante of the members are restored. The ruling party MPs slammed the behaviour of the suspended MPs. Indian Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu called the incident and their behavior unfortunnate, condemnable and unacceptable. He said that the image of the Parliament has been tarnished. Two key bills of the farmers have been passed on Sunday in Rajya Sabha. The opposition leaders staged protests and they demanded the bills to be referred to a house panel.

The government moved a motion seeking suspension of the eight MPs and the Chairman asked the MPs to leave the house. They decided to protest against the ruling party in the premises of the Parliament.
