TS Assembly Passes Resolution Seeking Bharat Ratna For PV Narasimha Rao:- The Telangana Assembly sessions started yesterday and the legislators are tested on a regular basis before entering the premises. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana passed a resolution today demanding a Bharata Ratna, the highest civilian honour for ex-Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao. The demand will be placed before the Centre. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) introduced the resolution in the state's Assembly demanding the Centre to make an announcement about offering Bharata Ratna to PV Narasimha Rao.
The Telangana Assembly also came with a request and demanded to install the statue of PV Narasimha Rao in the Parliament premises. KCR also wanted to rename the Hyderabad Central University to PV Narasimha Rao's name. Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy approved the request that was passed in the Assembly. KCR said "PV Narasimha Rao has become synonymous with statesmanship, intellectual. He was the one who introduced modern economic reforms and introduced paths for taking India to emerge as one of the largest economies of the globe. Jawaharlal Nehru was an architect of modern India and PV Narasimha Rao is an architect of global India. We want the entire nation to remember the legend because of the contributions he made for the country".
KCR said that PV Narasimha Rao was in thoughts to take retirement but he was asked to lead the country in the crisis. He revived the economy of the country through the revolutionary economics that were introduced by him said KCR. Ministers KT Rama Rao, V Srinivas Goud, A Indra Karan Reddy, Satyavathi Rathod, Gangula Kamalakar, Congress Legislative Party leader Bhatti Vikramarka spoke on the occasion in the Assembly house.
