Donald Trump Accepts the Nomination of the Republican Party for the Second Time:- American President Donald Trump accepted the nomination of the Republican party for the second time today for the re-election before a large crowd at the White House. He is contesting in the elections amidst huge tension that is created because of the coronavirus pandemic and the racial tensions in the country. Donald Trump said "My fellow Americans, tonight, with a heart full of gratitude and boundless optimism, I profoundly accept this nomination for President of the United States". His speech went on for 111 minutes during the final night of the Republican National Convention.
There were protests outside the White House after Donald Trump started his speech. Ivanka Trump too spoke on the occasion and their speeches were focused on how black lives matter. The final night was anchored by two of them: Ann Dorn, the widow of former police officer David Dorn. He was killed in the St Louis riots. Kayla Muller who was kidnapped and murdered by ISIS. Earlier to this, Kamala Harris gave her speech on Thursday saying that the people are angry and exhausted with the incident of Jacob Blake. Trump concluded his speech saying that the country was built by patriots and not by the timid spirits.
