Eight Dead in a Fire Breakout in COVID Hospital:- A major fire accident killed eight coronavirus patients in Ahmedabad. The accident took place during the wee hours of today in Shrey Hospital at 3:30 AM in the ICU department in Ahmedabad's Navrangpura. Five men along with three women got killed in the accident. The rest of the patients have been evacuated and some of them suffered minor injuries. The bodies of the deceased are sent to postmortem told LB Zala, assistant commissioner of police, B division, Ahmedabad.

40 others are rescued from the location and fire tenders are brought in to carry the rescue operations. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani ordered a probe in the incident. Sangeeta Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (Home Department) took the charge of the probe and the report would be submitted in three days. "Saddened by the tragic hospital fire in Ahmedabad. The administration is providing all possible assistance to the affected" tweeted Narendra Modi. The cause of the accident is yet to be known. All the other coronavirus patients are shifted to a civic hospital in Ahmedabad.
