KTR Gifts Six Ambulances Under 'Gift A Smile' Initiative:- Telangana Municipal, IT and Industries Minister K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) pledged that he would donate six ambulances for the Telangana government as a part of Gift a Smile Initiative. As promised, KTR flagged of the six ambulances at Pragathi Bhavan today. All these ambulances will be used as coronavirus response vehicles. KTR pledged that he would donate the ambulances on July 24th marking his birthday. "Happy to contribute 6 vehicles which will initially serve as ‘Covid Response Vehicles’ & subsequently as ambulances to the health dept through Hon’ble Health Minister @Eatala_Rajender Garu. This is my contribution in a personal capacity as announced last week" posted KTR along with the pictures.

Telangana Health Minister Etala Rajendar, KTR's wife Shailima and daughter Alekhya along with some of the cabinet ministers were present for the flag off event. After KTR announced that he would donate ambulances, some other legislators, ministers of TRS announced that they would donate ambulances. KTR said that the government will have covid response ambulances available in all the districts of Telangana. KTR even urged the party leaders and cadre to donate their part for the 'Gift a Smile' initiative. Earlier before this, KTR asked his fans and party workers not to waste money on the name of birthday celebrations and donate their part for the needy in this crucial coronavirus time.
