Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar Meets The Governor About His Reappointment:- The Andhra Pradesh government scrapped the State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar from his position after he postponed the local body polls. Even after repeated appeals from the High Court, the government of Andhra Pradesh did not reappoint Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar as the State Election Commissioner. Ramesh Kumar recently approached the High Court which directed him to meet the Governor to reinstate the order. Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar met Andhra Pradesh Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan today and submitted the petition and the direction of the High Court.

Andhra Pradesh Governor is yet to take a call on this. The High Court even asked the government of Andhra Pradesh to file a counter soon. Despite of the Supreme Court and High Court against the government's decision, the AP Government is yet to reappoint Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar. With the spread of coronavirus, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar canceled the local body polls which did not go well with the Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The Andhra Pradesh government did not respond about the High Court's order. The government appointed  ex-Madras HC Justice V. Kanagaraj as the new State Election Commissioner after Ramesh Kumar was sacked.
