Congress MLA With Coronavirus Votes In Rajya Sabha Polls:- The voting for the vacant Rajya Sabha seats across the country is happening today. Madhya Pradesh has three vacant seats and the voting concluded today. All the 206 MLAs attended the voting today. A Congress legislator who was tested positive with coronavirus attended the voting to cast his vote. The voting process began at 9 AM and it ended up at 1.15 PM. The Congress legislator was present wearing a PPE suit and he was the last one to cast his vote for the Rajya Sabha polls. Both BJP and Congress fielded two candidates each for the three seats for Rajya Sabha.

Former Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia was representing BJP and Sumer Singh Solanki, former professor of a government college is contesting for Congress. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was the first one to cast his vote. All the leaders and legislators have been found wearing masks and they stood in a queue maintaining social distancing because of the coronavirus pandemic. Each candidate needs 52 votes to win a seat in the Rajya Sabha polls. As per the update, BJP is set to win two seats as it has 107 MLAs and has the support of 2 MLAs from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), one MLA from Samajwadi Party (SP) along with two independents. Congress is now left with 92 legislators after 22 MLAs quit the party and joined BJP.
