Supreme Court Orders To Send Migrant Workers Home In 15 Days:- The Supreme Court asked all the Indian states to identify the migrant workers stranded in their respective stands and send them to their hometowns in 15 days. The top court also asked the states to remove all the cases registered against the migrants which are registered in the recent times. The Supreme Court asked the states to finalize a list of migrant workers as per the states in a streamlined manner. Some of the states and union territories were asked to provide employment for the migrants as per their skills. A three-judge bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, Sanjay Kishan Kaul and MR Shah passed the judgment today.

The court issued a series of directions and asked the states not to charge from the migrants for their train or bus journeys. The states have been asked to arrange the food and water facilities for the migrants. The Supreme Court also asked the Indian Railways to arrange special trains for the migrant workers from various states. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that 4228 special Shramik trains are run by the Centre till June 3rd and 57 lakh migrants have been sent home. Tushar Mehta also said that 41 lakh other migrants returned to their homes through buses.

The Supreme Court asked the states to submit affidavits individually about the schemes that are introduced for the migrants and their job creation by July 8th.
