Indian Railways To Run 200 Non-AC Trains Starting From June 1st:- Indian Railways announced that the services will be extended from June 1st and it would be running 200 non-ac trains. All the trains would be non-air conditioned. Indian Railways has been running 15 services from May 12th which are ac trains and the passengers have been asked to maintain social distancing and all other issued guidelines. Indian Railways informed the news about the new trains through a tweet which said "200 additional timetable trains daily from June 1, which will be non-air conditioned second class trains and booking of these trains will be available online".

The information about the new trains and their services, routes will be made official soon. The tickets are expected to be available online from May 22nd. The waitlisting option too will be made available for the new services as per the news from the Indian Railways. The Centre extended the lockdown till May 31st and the statement from the Indian Railways says that the country would be free from June 1st. The number of coronavirus cases in the country crossed 1 lakh and they are increasing at a rapid speed. The deaths crossed 3000 in the country. Indian Railways was operating 12,000 trains across the country on a regular basis and they were halted from the past 55 days because of coronavirus lockdown.
