50% More Hike On Liquor Prices In Andhra Pradesh:- The government of Andhra Pradesh is left in a deep financial crisis because of the lockdown due to coronavirus. The wine shops across the state are reopened yesterday after 40 plus days. The Centre's decision was to open the wine marts in green zones but the shops are opened across the state. The government even hiked the liquor charges by 25% from yesterday which is sure a burden for the people. In a shocking move, the government of Andhra Pradesh took a crucial decision by increasing the prices by 50% on MRP to discourage alcohol consumption. The government took a sensational decision by increasing the liquor prices by 75% which is a record.

The day one sale across Andhra Pradesh are said to be huge and made Rs 60 crores. The government of Andhra Pradesh is likely to make up Rs 9000 crores more with the increased prices on liquor. The wine shops are now open from 11 AM till 7 PM in the state and they witnessed huge lines all over. People failed to follow social distancing and other guidelines issued by the government. The cops had to sweat out hard to bring situations under control. The government of Andhra Pradesh already asked all the distilleries to start the production of liquor from Sunday. The number of coronavirus have been increasing in Andhra Pradesh and a section of people have been opposing the move of the government.
