TTD Offers Rs 19 Cr For AP Govt To Fight Coronavirus:- The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) board offered Rs 19 crores fund to help the government of Andhra Pradesh to fight out the deadly coronavirus. TTD Executive Officer (EO) Anil Kumar Singal said that TTD already offered Rs 8 crores for Chittoor district and the other Rs 11 crores would be sent to AP Chief Minister Relief Fund. TTD also allocated all the rest houses available as a shelter for the people who are in need of this lockdown period. TTD has also been offering 50000 food packets on a regular basis to the people who are in need of Tirupati and around the city.
The temple of Sri Venkateswara was locked in advance to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The daily rituals are performed in the temple by the priests on a regular basis. They are also telecasted live on SVCB for the devotees. The total number of coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh reached 252 and 26 new cases are reported on Sunday. Chittoor district alone recorded 17 new cases and the district is on high alert. The health officials across Andhra Pradesh are working round the clock to treat the patients. The number of cases saw a rise after a number of Tablighi Jamaat event attendees got traced.
