AP Government To Build 30 Lakh Houses For The Poor:- Andhra Pradesh Government decided to construct 30 lakh houses for the poor and the weaker sections targetting 2024. Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy himself revealed the news today saying that he would distribute 26.6 lakh house pattas on March 25th marking the Ugadi festival. YS Jagan included this during the party manifesto released before the 2019 polls and he made this promise during his padayatra too. YS Jagan made sure that he would fulfill the dreams of the poor.

YS Jagan conducted a review meeting with the officials after which he announced the news. Housing Minister Ranganatha Raju along with other officials were present. The number of housing colonies planned are said to be 14,097 and is named YSR Jagananna Housing Colonies. The officials are collecting the details about the land in the urban and rural regions along with the funds sanctioned by the Centre. YS Jagan also discussed about the funds that should be pooled by the state government for the program.

19.3 lakh houses will be constructed in the urban regions and municipalities. 4500 engineers along with 45,000 employees from the village secretariats will involve in the program. A bank loan of Rs 25,000 will be given for the beneficiaries at the interest rate of 25 paise. The remaining amount will be borne by the state government.
