11 Christians Brutally Killed In Nigeria By Jihadists:- Late on Thursday, the IS-linked propaganda arm Amaq, posted video footage of 11 Christians being stabbed and shot by the Jihadists from the Islamic State West African province at a location that’s not mentioned of.
It is a one minute video and a masked man said: “ This is a message to Christians all over the world”. This man mentioned this to be a retaliation for IS chief Abu Bakr al Baghdadi’s death.
In October, Baghdadi killed himself with the fear of being caught during the US special forces raid. Off late, the ISWAP is raged because of which they are constantly attacking Christians, security personnel and aid staff by blocking roads at highways.
In one of the Statements, the group mentioned that there were six soldiers, eight civilians and two red-cross workers who were kidnapped in the attack.
According to the UN, the Jihadists in North-East Nigeria have killed around 36,000 people. The violence is spread towards Niger Chad and Cameroon. Initially, the attacks were on Military troops and now the civilians are targeted as well.
In North-East of Nigeria, the UN officially declared "increasing practice by armed groups to set up checkpoints targeting civilians".
Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s president mentioned, he was "saddened and shocked by the death of innocent hostages in the hands of remorseless, godless, callous gangs of mass murderers".
In a statement, he quoted "We should, under no circumstance, let the terrorists divide us by turning Christians against Muslims because these barbaric killers don't represent Islam”.
