Hyderabad Pharma City: Telangana Govt Seeks Rs 3418 Cr From Centre:- The Telangana government urged the Centre to support with the needed financial assistance for the Hyderabad Pharma City which is proposed to be developed near Hyderabad. Telangana government asked Centre to help with Rs 3418 crores for the Hyderabad Pharma City. Telangana Industries and Panchayatraj Minister KT Rama Rao wrote to the Union Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Union Petroleum and Natural Gas & Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan about the same.
Have requested Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas Sri @dpradhanbjp Ji to allocate reliable supply of natural gas at preferential tariff for Hyderabad Pharma City, a project of national importance

KTR said that the required 'grant-in-aid' is Rs 1318 crores and he requested Rs 2100 crores for the internal infrastructure development in the first phase. The Hyderabad Pharma City project has been integrated as a priority node of proposed Hyderabad-Warangal Industrial Corridor project. The feasibility study got completed as per National Industrial Corridor Development & Implementation Trust (NICDIT) guidelines.

KTR stated that the project will be the first in having Zero Liquid Discharge-based Common Effluent Treatment Plant, an integrated solid waste management facility, district heating and cooling systems. The overall estimated budget of the project is said to be Rs 64000 crores. Hyderabad Pharma City (HPC) is the "World's Largest Integrated Pharma Park".
