Rahul Gandhi Resigns as Congress President:- All India Congress President Rahul Gandhi submitted his resignation and blamed himself for the party's poor show in the recent Lok Sabha polls across the country. Rahul Gandhi said that he would continue to serve the party and will work hard in the coming days. He released a four-page resignation letter through his official twitter handle. Rahul Gandhi also said that he would be in search for the right leader to guide the party.
"It is an honour for me to serve the Congress Party, whose values and ideals have served as the lifeblood of our beautiful nation. I owe the country and my organization a debt of tremendous gratitude and love. Jai Hind" posted Rahul Gandhi on his twitter handle. Several senior leaders offered to quit if Rahul Gandhi resigns from the post of the President. Sushil Kumar Shinde, Mukul Wasnik and Mallikarjun Kharge are considered to be the frontrunners for the post.
