Monsoon Wait Goes Longer For Telangana People:- This year Telangana people will have to wait longer for monsoons in the state as it takes four to five weeks more. With scorching sun, the people are waiting for the monsoon showers which will surely provide a huge relief. The South-West Monsoon that brings rains to peninsular India, stands in Telangana for a week and then touches Kerala. This is delayed this year by four to five weeks and summer heat will have a long impact.
The Indian Meteorological Department revealed the news of the delay. Earlier, scientists from the Potsdam Institute of Climate Impact Research, a German government-funded research institute predicted that monsoon showers were likely to arrive between June 8th and 16th. Several regions across Telangana witnessed temperatures close to 50 degrees and the heat wave in the state has been unusual.
