Ness Wadia Sentenced in Japan for Drug Possession:- Young businessman and son of industrialist Nusli Wadia, Ness Wadia represents one of the biggest families of the country when it comes to wealth. Ness Wadia got married to actress Preity Zinta and they later parted ways. He has been sentenced recently for drug possession in Japan when he was in the country for a holiday. He was arrested in March at New Chitose Airport in Northern Japan. The customs officials at New Chitose were alerted after a sniffer dog reached him. He was caught with 25 grams of cannabis resin which was located in his trouser pocket.

Japan's narcotic laws are quite strict and tight security has been imposed ahead of Rugby World Cup and Tokyo Olympics next year. Ness Wadia spent in detention before his indictment on March 20th. An undisclosed period of time is assigned for Ness Wadia before the court hearing. He said that the drugs are for his personal use. He was in Niseko, Japan which happens to be the favorite destination for skiing. After completing the sentence, Ness Wadia returned to India recently. Ness Wadia is the director of Wadia Groups and is into various businesses.
