Kolkata Student Kills Self During His Video Chat With His Girlfriend:- A 21-year-old student from Kolkata committed suicide during a video call with his girlfriend last night. The incident took place in Duttapukuar in Barasat. The cops seized both the mobile phones used by the victim and his girlfriend. The victim has been identified as Ranjan Debnath, a third-year student from New Barrackpore College. He moved into depression after his father got married for the second time recently. He moved out of his house and is staying out from the past three months. Ranjan Debnath's mother passed away long ago and he stayed with his uncles, grandparents.

Ranjan Debnath used to share all these things with his girlfriend on regular basis. Last night at 11 PM he called her at 11 PM and said that he is not interested to live anymore. Despite of his girlfriend advising him to stay strong, Ranjan Debnath hung himself with a towel for a ceiling fan. She then called a common friend and asked him to inform his family about the incident. They broke open the door and found Ranjan Debnath dead. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot. The body was sent for post-mortem. The cops are investigating the matter currently.
