Maha Shivratri 2019: Devotees Throng To Temples In Telangana, Andhra Pradesh:- As the mark of Maha Shivratri, devotees across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh thronged to all the Lord Shiva temples by chanting the name of God.

The temples witnessed a huge crowd from the early hours on Monday to perform the abhishekam.

On the other hand, the temples in Telangana state were remained open since 12.30 a.m. for the devotees to get a glimpse of the deity on a holy day. Celebrated Shiva temples in and around Hyderabad such as Keesara, Chaya Someshwara temple in Nalgonda and more echoed with the chanting of mantras.

Srikalahasti temple in Andhra Pradesh was geared up to mark the day as the temple is illustrious for deity Lord Shiva. The temple, popularly known as Dakshina Kasi, has been adorned with electrical illumination and flowers. Since the last week officials of endowments department have been making arrangements for celebrating Maha Shivratri grandly.

According to officials, around 1 lakh devotees are anticipated to offer prayers. Necessary instructions were issued and district collector P S Pradyumana inspected the arrangements at the temple.

Temple Executive Officer (EO) S Rama Swamy has taken all the measures necessary to facilitate smooth darshan, availability of drinking water, additional toilets to devotees besides setting up of additional sales counters.

In view of Srikalahasti Brhamostvams, local police had diverted all the vehicles from outskirts of the town via bypass road. Devotees’ vehicles are being diverted to designated parking areas near the temple at Swarnamukhi riverside.

Endowments officials have canceled all the special arjitha sevas on the Maha Shivratri day permitting only the devotees through Sarvadarshan queue line.

Protocol VIPs will be allowed through the special entry, according to temple sources. The devotees will be allowed a darshan of the Lord from the early hours of Monday to early hours of Tuesday.
