Telangana Budget In February:- Telangana Chief Minister KCR took oath as the Chief Minister of the state but he kept everyone guessing without expanding his cabinet. There are speculations that the expansion will take place during the first week of February. The State Finance Department is all set to present the sixth budget of Telangana next month. The draft budget of Telangana has been submitted to the Chief Minister last evening. The final call would be taken by KCR after which the budget will be presented.
The State Finance Department is said to have fine tuned the budget after a series of discussions and submitted it to the Chief Minister. The budget will be presented in the second or third week of February in the state's Assembly informed a source close to TRS. The State had witnessed a 29 per cent growth in State’s Own Tax Revenues (SOTR) by the end of November 2018. The estimate budget of the state is said to be Rs 2 lakh crores. The last year's budget was said to be Rs 1.74 lakh crores and TRS during the recent polls needed an additional Rs 30,000 crores for implementation.
The budget will focus on agriculture, water / irrigation and welfare schemes that are already introduced and promised. The full fledged budget is already prepared and the final call would be taken by KCR.
