To Drive Eco Mobility, Kia Motors Signs MoU With AP Government:- Kia Motors have been investing huge amounts in the newly formed Andhra Pradesh. Now Kia Motors signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the AP Government on ‘Partnership for Future Eco Mobility’. Kia Motors promised that they would take care of the uptake of electric vehicles by developing a local EV infrastructure. AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu who was busy campaigning in Telangana was present during the time.

Kia Motors Managing Director and CEO, Kookhyun Shim too was present. Kia Motors submitted three examples of Niro Hybrid, Niro Plug-in Hybrid and Niro EV. A vehicle charging station is being installed in Vijayawada for the representatives from the government offices to charge the vehicles. Eco-friendly vehicles will be built in Anantapur plant and Kia Motors is keen on slowly expanding their market in the country.

AP Government too is keen on replacing the vehicles with electric vehicles in order to reduce pollution. The Niro Hybrid and Niro Plug-in Hybrid are already among the best-selling hybrid vehicles globally.
