Vijay Mallya Ready To Pay His Dues:- Liquor baron Vijay Mallya went absconding after he owes Rs 9000 crores to Indian banks. He has been residing in London and the latest news is that he is willing to sign the consent terms with Indian Government to pay all his dues to the banks. The businessman's lawyer revealed the news in a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court on Thursday. The court heard a plea signed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) which asked Vijay Mallya to be declared as fugitive economic offender so that all his properties can be attached and auctioned.
Amit Desai, Vijay Mallya's lawyer argued in the court after ED wanted to confiscate his properties. Desai revealed that Vijay Mallya's properties cannot be confiscated as this can be done once he is held guilty of the crime. Vijay Mallya indirectly sent a message that he is ready to re-pay all the dues and wants to return back to the country.
