Vijayashanti Says No To Telangana Polls:- Fire brand woman politician Vijayashanti has been away from politics for over four years. The woman politician deferred with Telangana Chief Minister KCR and joined Congress soon. With Telangana polls heading in the state, the party high command assigned a prominent role and responsibility for Vijayashanti. She has been made a member of the campaigning committee and Vijayashanti has been working hard to live up the expectations. When asked if she would contest in Telangana polls, Vijayashanti remained tight lipped and did not reveal anything on this.

Vijayashanti's fans and followers have been left surprised after the first list of candidates missed her name. There were speculations that Vijayashanti would contest from Medak Assembly constituency but the segment was alloted to TJS. Vijayashanti revealed that she wanted to continue offer her service to the party and was not keen on contesting in elections. Vijayashanti clarified that the high consulted her after which the seat was alloted to TJS. Vijayashanti said that she would campaign across Telangana and expressed her confidence on Mahakutami forming the government in the state.
