Sabarimala Temple Closes Doors: Not A Single Woman Enters Temple:- Despite of the Supreme Court announcing the verdict to allow women of all age groups into the Sabarimala temple, not a single woman could make it into the temple in the first five days of its re-opening. The Supreme Court's verdict has been out on September 29th and it asked the Kerala Government to make all the necessary arrangements. The Supreme Court even asked the Kerala Government to ensure security to the women entering the temple. The Kerala Government failed in all the available ways in providing security for the women. Several women journalists faced challenges during these days.

Several Kerala organisations issued open threats to women who wish to enter the premises of the temple. The doors of Sabarimala temple have been closed last evening and not a single woman could enter into the temple despite of Supreme Court's orders. Almost 12 women tried to enter the temple but they have been turned away. The next biggest challenge ahead for the temple authorities is the three month annual pilgrim season that starts from the mid of November. Tension continued to stalk the base camps of Nilakkal and Pamba despite of 144 section imposed.
