Telangana Witnesses 20% Growth In State Revenue

Telangana Witnesses 20% Growth In State Revenue:- Telangana state witnessed a growth of 20.72% till August this year when compared to the period in the last fiscal. The state earned a revenue through GST, petrol, liquor till August which is Rs 18,520.73 crores. Last year it was Rs 15,341.25 crores. The amount earned through petrol and liquor was Rs 6448.93 crores last year and it reached Rs 8161.63 crores this year. Telangana Chief Minister KCR revealed the news about the rise in increase in the state revenue.

The SGST, IGST and other revenues in August is Rs 1993.02 crores which was Rs 1412.99 crores last year. KCR thanked the Commercial Tax Department's efforts, data analytics and the raids conducted which increased the tax collection steadily. Though the new tax regime created enough confusion initially, it later turned out to be stable and generated decent growth in the state's revenue through taxes.
