CBN Invites Australian Firm For Kadapa Steel Plant:- After Centre ignoring AP granting steel plant in Kadapa, AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu announced that the state government would establish a steel plant in Kadapa. Now Chandra Babu invited Australian firm Fortescue Metals Group to set up a steel plant in the desired region. He interacted with the representives of the firm at World Cities Summit in Singapore on Sunday and he kept forward the proposal. Babu expressed that the state government would support the firm in all the available ways.
The firm’s chief representative, South Asia, Gowtam Varma too gave a positive nod however he replied that the final call would be taken after discussing about the proposal with their allied industries in the industry. The State government and the Centre have been at loggerheads after the state has been ignored granting special status. Fortescue Metals Group has come forward to start a floating storage degasification unit in AP. They are also in plans to start a lithium battery manufacturing unit along with ISRO in India.
