India To Seek Faster Extradition Process From UK In Mallya's Case:- Indian liquor baron Vijay Mallya flew off from the country and is residing in UK. The Indian Government has kept all the efforts to extradite the absconding businessman. The latest news is that India is in plans to seek UK Government a faster extradition process. Instead of focusing on the case, we are requesting a faster extradition process and we have requested them for cooperation under mutual legal assistance informed an Indian official.

Vijay Mallya owes Rs 9000 crores to various Indian banks and 16 extradition requests are pending with the UK Government. The extradition agreement between Indian and UK was signed in September 1992. After discussing issues like law enforcement, VISA issues and counter terrorism, the final call would be taken. Illegal migrants of 1 lakh from India have been residing in UK which is the biggest challenge. UK Government is keen on returning all the illegal immigrants back to India so that the extradition of Vijay Mallya turns easy.
