Despite Of Emergency, Violence Continues In Sri Lanka:- Communal violence broke down in Sri Lanka after which emergency has been announced over anti-Muslim riots. The communal violence continued and a shop, mosque in the central part of the country have been attacked. At 11.30 PM on Tuesday, a shop has been burnt near Kandy and this incident took place hours after President Maithiripala Sirisena issued the emergency. Similarly a mosque caught fire even after army taking full control across the country. The mosque has been attacked in Wattegama village located to the north eastern part of Kandy.

The pictures of the mosque which has been attacked have been going viral all over. Sri Lankan government has deployed soldiers to all the sensitive areas and the violence triggered after a Buddhist man was beaten by a gang of Muslim men after which the man passed away. Hundreds were arrested and it turned quite difficult for the cops and the army to bring things under control. It is the first time since Sri Lanka imposed an emergency since 2011 after the civil war with Tamils. Out of the 21 million, Muslims contribute 10% of the country's population.
