Sridevi's Ashes To Be Sent To Chennai:- Veteran actress Sridevi passed away last Saturday in Dubai after she accidentally drowned herself in a bath tub. It took three complete days to bring back her mortal remains from Dubai and the last rites took place on Wednesday in Mumbai. The whole film fraternity flew to Mumbai to pay the last respect for the legendary actress. Now the latest update is that Sridevi's ashes will be flown to Chennai today. Boney Kapoor too will fly to Rameswaram along with Sridevi's parents.

The immersion rituals will take place after which Boney Kapoor will return back to Mumbai. Sridevi's father is a Tamilian and hence the rituals will take place as per their traditions. Hindu religious ritual of 'Asthi Visarjan' calls for immersion of ashes in a flowing water body such as a river or stream. Sridevi's parents wanted the ashes to be immersed in Rameswaram after which Boney Kapoor agreed to proceed as per their tradition.
