Witness Turns Hostile In Malayalam Actress Abduction Case:- In favor of Malayalam actor Dileep, a key witness in the actress assault case has changed his stance. Dileep is facing conspiracy charges in the abduction case. The statement of the witness was recorded before a magistrate over a month ago.

Only when a copy of the confidential statement was handed over to the Special Investigation Team probing the case, the other day, that is when they came to know about the development. Under section CrPC 164, the statement was recorded.

The police were informed earlier, by an employee of Laksyah,  that looking for Dileep and Kavya, after the attack, the main accused Pulsar Suni and his aide Vijesh had reached the textile store office at Kakkanad. Laksyah is the online clothing apparatus owned by actress and Dileep’s wife Kavya Madhavan.

As the employee’s statement was vital to establish the case findings, the SIT made him a key witness. However, it has now emerged that he had not seen Suni and Vijesh at Laksyah, claimed the Alappuzha native, in the confidential statement given just days before Dileep was let off from jail. The investigating officers declined to comment on the impact of the development in the case. But said that the circumstances under which the witness had a 'change of mind”, was being examined.

The prosecution, during Dileep's bail hearing argued that that the actor could influence the witnesses even in judicial custody. As per sources, the witness over 40 times from his personal mobile number, said the probe.

The additional chargesheet is to be submitted by the SIT before the court soon. The witness statements of over 20 persons, including those from the film field, is mainly relied on the chargesheet.
