AP Girijan Sangham Seeks Unconditional Release Of Koteswara Rao:- The arrest of Bakuru Koteswara Rao has been strongly condemned by the tribal community of Visakhapatnam Agency on Monday. They even demanded the government to release him unconditionally.

Branding Koteswara Rao as Maoist activist, the rural police arrested him. They even levied allegations against him that he is actively involved in the recent cell tower blast at Darakonda of GK Veedhi mandal. As a remand prisoner, Koteswara Rao was currently in the Visakhapatnam jail.

In Andhra Pradesh Girijan Sangham, Koteswara Rao is an active leader and he even raised his voice on various issues in the Agency. False cases against him were registered by the police and arrested him. The police arrested him in Vijayawada earlier, but failed to prove any allegation on him.

The police are registering false cases on innocent tribals, to create panic like situation among tribals. Former MP and president of Andhra Pradesh Girijana Sangham Midium Baburao said no offence was committed by Koteswar Rao against the government and police anytime. Because of Maoist activities in the Agency, the police habituated to arrest innocent tribals and AP Girijana Sangham leaders. In fact, Koteswara Rao was actively involved in various service activities of the tribals including conducting medical camps in seasonal fevers.

Moreover, the scam in the MGNREGS irregularities were even unearthed by him. He was called by the police for an inquiry and arrested him. Baburao demanded that the government should immediately release Koteswara Rao.

The in-charge collector G Srijana met with the AP Girijana Sangham leaders including its secretary P Appalanarasa and A Santhi and G Satyanarayana, who gave a representation for the release of Koteswara Rao.
