Case Registered Against Kancha Ilaiah In AP District:- The Hyderabad High Court was informed by the Prakasam district police on Thursday, that they have lodged an FIR against professor and writer Kancha Ilaiah. The FIR was registered based on a complaint from one Vatsala of Pedagollapalli village in H M Padu mandal in the district.
She alleged that the professor through his writings and his alleged remarks against Vysa the community in a recent book, had been creating enmity among communities. A submission before justice Challa Kodandaram, was made by the counsel of AP. Kodandaram was dealing with a petition filed by Vattsala. The petition sought declaration as illegal the inaction of Kanigiri police in registering a case against Ilaiah.

The Kanigiri police, was told by the AP Police that based on the petitioner’s complaint under Sections 120 (B) (criminal conspiracy) and 153-A read with Section 34 of IPC, a case has been registered against Ilaiah.
After registering an FIR, the investigation has been started by the police, he added. The judge closed the petition, after recording the statement of AP’s counsel.
