19-year-old Girl From Telangana Ends Life After A Painful WhatsApp Post:- A 19-year old girl from Telangana, identified as Sai Durga Mounika committed suicide at her residence in Dundigal.

Before hanging herself to death on Wednesday, Sai Durga, a final year engineering student, wrote the below message on her WhatsApp status.

Nowadays, I am afraid to be happy. I don’t know y ppl dnt want to look at me ven I’m happy in ma life (sic). Every moment in my life is gng sooo worst (sic).”

Her family members claimed that due to family issues, she committed suicide. While, according to sources, after her mother admonished her over her excessive use of smart phones and spending time on social media, she committed suicide. As per the police, Sai Durga along with her mother and brother was staying at her maternal uncle’s house at Suraram, under the Dundigal police station. A decade ago, her father, Chandrasekhar left them.

Sai Durga had an argument with her mother over a gold chain and a ring. When her mother and brother went out after the argument, she hanged herself to death. When her family members arrived late in the evening, they rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead.

“According to her family, she was sensitive and often threatened them of committing suicide over petty issues. On Wednesday, her mother questioned her about the gold jewelry, due to which she felt offended and took this extreme step,” said Mr M. Pavan from the Dundigal police station.

“ We will recover her mobile phone and verify her social media posts. Based on the evidence, the probe will proceed.” added the SI.
