Ram Rahim’s Daughter, Honeypreet Likely To Surrender In Court Today?:- The controversial adopted daughter of jailed Dera Sacha Sauda sect chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, Honeypreet Insan is likely to surrender in Haryana’s Panchkula court on Tuesday.
Honeypreet, who calls herself “Papas angel” has finally surfaced and gave interviews to media groups. Despite a number of raids conducted by the Haryana Police, she, however, continues to evade arrest. Last week, Honeypreet had appeared in Delhi and sought an anticipatory transit bail from the Delhi High Court. The bail petition of Honeypreet, whose real name is Priyanka Taneja, was however rejected by the High Court.

The Haryana police booked Honeypreet and two other aides of Ram Rahim on charges of sedition, inciting violence and being involved in the conspiracy to help the Dera chief escape after his conviction by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on August 25. Ram Rahim was convicted on two counts of raping female disciples in 1999. An international alert against all three was sounded by the Haryana police.
Since 2009, Honeypreet has been the closest aide of Ram Rahim. For nearly a month, the police have been on her trail and raids have been conducted in Nepal, Rajasthan, Bihar and Haryana.
Last month, Vishwas Gupta, Honeypreet’s former husband accused her and Ram Rahim of having illicit relations. He even stated that their father-daughter relationship was a sham to fool followers.
Ram Rahim has been sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment and a fine of over Rs 30 lakh. After his conviction, violence prevailed in Panchkula and Sirsa in Haryana. This had left 38 people dead and 264 injured. Few incidents of violence was also reported from Delhi and several other places in Punjab.
