Petition Against Balayya For Distributing Money To Voters:- A petition has been moved against actor-politician Balakrishna on Tuesday before the Hyderabad High Court.
The petition sought action against Balakrishna by the Election Commission for distributing money to voters while participating in the poll campaign in the poll bound Nandyal Assembly constituency. This was done in full public view.
The petition was filed by YSRCP General Secretary K. Shiva Kumar seeking action against Balakrishna. The pictures and video clippings of Balakrishna distributing money to the voters in Nandyal have gone viral on the social media and were also telecasted in several TV news channels. The YSR Congress Party had already demanded that the Election Commission stop Balakrishna’s poll campaign for violating the election code.
The ruling party is also reported to be distributing money to the people to keep them away from participating in YS Jagan’s road shows and public meetings. Police officials remained mute spectators and did not take any action against the TDP leaders despite the YSRCP lodging several complaints.
TDP MLA candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy and Mounika Nagi Reddy and minister Akhila Priya were also beside the actor.
